Trailblazers as his win streak has grown to 15 games. During this

runner-up finish at the Iowa Class 3A state meet last week. The three

Dubuque Senior 200 freestyle relay team
The Senior 200 Free Relay team of Josh Gill, Alex Duster, James
Daughters, and Justin Yuan won the state title in a state record time of
1:23.99. They became the first team in Iowa to ever break the 1:24 mark
and broke the 7 year old state record by nearly .6 seconds, a huge
amount of time in this race. The team earned automatic All-American
honors with a time that currently ranks second in the country. This swim
and the leadership of these seniors helped to spark Senior to a
runner-up team finish at the state swim meet.

Kirby Kendrick earned his 100th career wrestling win while claiming an
Iowa Class 2A sectional championship on Saturday. A standout football
player at Beckman, he will continue his gridiron career at Upper Iowa
University, an NCAA Division II school, next fall.

Down by four points with just 90 seconds remaining, the veteran
quarterback hit junior Chase Kruser in stride for a thrilling 52-yard
go-ahead score, giving Potosi its first lead of its WIAA state football
semifinal on Friday. The Chieftains went on to add one last
score on a 40-yard Fritz breakaway run to seal their first-ever trip to
the state championship game with a 30-20 victory. Fritz finished the
game with 199 yards on 9 of 18 passing attempts.

Jase finished with 193 yards and two touchdowns on 18 carries
to lead the Potosi football team to a 48-28 victory over
Cochrane-Fountain City in a WIAA Division 7 Level 3 playoff game. The Chieftains will face Randolph next
weekend for the right to play for the state championship in Camp Randall
Stadium.
November 1, 2012 - 200 Freestyle Relay Team

200 freestyle relay team (Molly Lembezeder; Autumn Roepsch; Olivia
Knowles; and Jenna Willer) broke the MVC conference record, School
Record with a 1:40.54 at the MVC Conference meet. They followed up at the Regional
meet in Cedar Falls on Saturday by breaking their own school record
again and the Cedar Falls Pool record with a 1:38.57.

Jonah recorded 22 tackles (5 solo, 4 for loss and 3 sacks) last week
against Orangeville. For the season, he has a remarkable 202 total
tackles from the middle linebacker position.

Austin Clemens completed 16 of 21 passes for 203 yards and three
touchdowns in Senior's 40-20 win over Dubuque Hempstead. Keegan Gallery caught nine of those passes for 136 yards (15.1
yards per catch) and two touchdowns. For the year, Clemens is 94-for-144
for 1105 yards and 10 touchdowns against only one interception. Gallery
has 47 catches for 575 yards and 4 touchdowns.

Hempstead last week. Schroeder won the 200-yard individual medley, the
100 butterfly, and was a member of the winning 200 medley relay and 400

the regionals against Benton/Shullsburg. Kristi hit a triple in the
game and was the winning run to come across the plate. She also struck

Jetting a 55.9-second closing leg, Staebler anchored the Eagles' sprint
medley relay to a state record performance of 1:49.17 on Championship
Saturday at Drake Stadium. Staebler finished second in the 800, missing first by .12 of a second.

The Mustangs' junior was named the Mississippi Valley Conference tennis
player of the year in the Valley Division. She plays at No. 1 for
Hempstead. It is the first time in several, several years that a

Adam Morgan is a sophomore on the Hempstead swim team. He is legally
blind, and last weekend he participated in a swim meet for Team IOWA in
the North Central Association of schools for the blind (NCASB) and did
really well. He earned golds in the 200IM, 100Fly, and 500 Free. He also
swam a leg on a record breaking 200 free relay.

Doubleheader against previously unbeaten Barneveld. Mitch went 7 for 9

RBI's. Potosi is now 9-0.

last season's State Finals Runner-Up River Ridge/Scales Mound by
leading her team in scoring and hitting multiple high pressure shots
down the stretch.

Peyton set the school record for 3pt shooting on Thursday against
Benton, hitting 9-10 and scoring 29 points. He followed that up on
Friday, 2/3 against Solon, hitting 8 3pt shots. Maquoketa is currently
tied for the lead in the WaMac East, having won 13 of their last 14
games.
